Love What You Do.

I have been a professional D.J. for over 10 years. I was introduced to the music industry in Orlando, Florida. I followed around friends and other D.J.'s taking notes of the songs they were playing, when they worked, when they didn't, and their microphone etiquette.  As my confidence and knowledge grew I started to learn the art of mixing.  I had the honor of adding some great names to my resume such as Walt Disney World, Sea World, Universal Studios, Busch Gardens, and many others before I moved to Massachusetts to start my own business.

I am a full-time D.J., doing an average of 200 events a year. I have a music library consisting of hundreds of thousands of songs from every genre and ethnic background. I use top of the line equipment including Allen & Heath, Numark, Pioneer, Denon, JBL, Mackie, Apple, Yamaha, and many other recognizable names, which allows my client, as well as myself, relax and focus on the music.

As a D.J. you can not do the same thing night after night, every event is different. Choosing the right song is not something that can be taught. It's a feeling you get as you watch the reaction of the people you are moving, and that's why I do what I do in one word, reaction.

When I'm not helping create memories I enjoy being home with my wife and four kids.

Below is a video that was sent to me from a small, day wedding. Recorded with a phone and not the best quality, but you get to see raw footage which most Dj's would alter. You can hear the transitions and see that the selections were based on the crowd in front of me.  Your wedding will be completely different, but maybe this will help you understand how the music can flow from song to song.
